22 years+ of US Army service

Life after retiring from my US Army military service:
I retired in 2012 from US Army to return to Harker Heights Texas.
I have been a citizen of Harker Heights since I moved here in 1998.
From 2012 to 2013 I worked for KISD as a substitute teacher as I settled in from my military career.
From 2013 to current, I completed my Graduate Gemologist degree and have been working with Anthony Joseph Jewelers as a Graduate Gemologist / Journeyman Jeweler.
My active participation in the Oakridge Terrace neighborhood (representing local citizens at both Planning and Zoning meetings and City Council meetings) led me to run for City Council.
I was elected as Councilmember Place 2 in May 2018. I have had the honor of serving as a Councilman for all citizens Harker Heights. My fellow Councilmembers elected me to serve as the Harker Heights Mayor Pro Tem in 2019 until 2021.
I was re-elected as Councilmember for the Harker Heights City Council, Place 2 in 2021- current.
Currently serving as the Chairman for the Bell County Public Health District Board.
Michael's vision for Harker Heights
My leadership, management, and financial skills that I have accumulated over my long successful US Army career and my three years of being a Councilman have greater prepared me to continue being a leader for Harker Heights, the Bright Star of Central Texas, from today onward into the future ensuring that all citizens are empowered to focus on what matters most to them: their goals, hopes, and dreams!
